Guy’s Cliffe Walled Garden

Guy’s Cliffe Walled Garden Trust Ltd is a not-for-profit organisation formed in 2012 to plan, organise and oversee the restoration of the Guy’s Cliffe Walled Garden.  Restoration work in the garden started in January 2014.

The aim of the volunteer project is to preserve and  restore the walls and glasshouses and return the site to a working Georgian/Victorian kitchen garden for the education benefit and enjoyment of the community, and to give an insight into how the garden supported an important country house.   The garden is listed as a Grade II site by English Heritage on the Register of Parks & Gardens of Special Historic Interest.

Our Charity Partners

Guy’s Cliffe Walled Garden, sponsored by Hintons Nursery, is a dedicated supporter of three local charities; who are grateful for the fruit and vegetables that we donate throughout the growing season.
Each week in the Summer and early Autumn our volunteers are busy picking many different fruits and veg that provide meals for the homeless, and people struggling on low incomes.

Helping Hands
Based in Leamington Spa, Helping Hands supports people affected by homelessness and trauma. They run the Lighthouse charity shop, a soup kitchen, a meals service, and support groups for men and women.

The Night Shelter
Originally launched in winter 2015/16 by Warwick medical students, the LWS Night Shelter offers meals, safe overnight stays, and companionship for homeless and vulnerably housed people in Leamington Spa.

Packmores Pantry
Operating from the Packmores Community Centre, the Pantry provides free food and groceries to local residents struggling to afford essentials.

Become a volunteer or host a team building day and help us preserve and restore our garden.

We invite you to be part of something special – an opportunity to put your existing skills to good use while also learning new ones in a welcoming and supportive environment. Whether you can dedicate a full day or just an hour, your time and effort will be truly appreciated.

Every contribution helps, and you’ll be joining a passionate team working together to restore and maintain a beautiful space. If you’re interested, simply click the link below, and one of our gardening team members will reach out with further details. We look forward to welcoming you and sharing this rewarding experience!

Group Booking

Groups are very welcome by special arrangement. We will provide guided tours and be on hand to answer questions.  We have already hosted successful visits by schools and many other organisations and we are particularlykeen to encourage more local schools and organisations to come and visit the walled garden.
